For you, what is the key difference between change management and change engagement?
In our work with leaders who are trying to be great change leaders, we find that often the focus is too anchored on trying to overcome assumed resistance to change. Resistance can be part of a human reaction to change - as we resist loss of control, status, familiarity, and a sense of competence. However, human curiosity and desire for growth are just as naturally a part of our response to change. Looking through the lens of change engagement, we invite leaders to explore ways to surface and grow a team’s positive energy for change.
